(she/her/hers)

With over 10 years of proven and versatile experience, I am a Licensed Psychologist in Florida (PY10052) and authorized to practice virtually via PSYPACT in all participating states (see map: https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). I have a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee and am a Certified Mental Performance Consultant and Certified Executive Coach. As a previous Division I athlete, I value having a team-based approach to solving problems and navigating through life's challenges. Ultimately, I believe we can all get more out of our potential and stretch ourselves to new possibilities when we are challenged and supported effectively.

I spent 2021-2026 serving overseas as a civilian embedded operational psychologist within a SOF (special operations forces) unit. It was a unique, exciting, and incredibly fulfilling opportunity. Additionally, I have extensive experience within Division I athletic departments, collegiate counseling centers, and as a psychology instructor. My primary areas of expertise are: optimizing human performance and sport psychology, mindfulness-based stress management, burnout & stress mitigation and recovery, emotional intelligence, work/life integration, relationship health, self-esteem and identity, trauma resolution, navigating life transitions, multiculturalism, and leadership/executive coaching. I am particularly skilled in working with medical providers, military + first responders, graduate + medical students, and other folks in high-pressure/high-stakes professions, and I also love providing executive leadership coaching, couples counseling, and organizational performance consulting.

While my overarching approach is humanistic and performance psychology-based, I integrate a number of systems and methods into my practice with clients. I am largely influenced by mindfulness-based practices, relational-cultural theory, feminist/multicultural theories, experiential/Gestalt theories, and cognitive-based theories. Advocacy is also an important part of my professional and personal worldview, and I strive to provide services that are non-discriminatory and nurturing of all aspects of diversity. I value my own mental health and self-care, so that I can live fully and be present and effective in our work together. I attend my own counseling regularly and enjoy soaking up nature and sunshine, reading, spending time with friends and family, and keeping a regular yoga+meditation practice. I also stay active through running, swimming, paddleboarding, biking, hiking, and traveling as much as humanly possible. I’m also collaborating on a new, exciting project for creative practitioners with my uber-talented spouse; learn more about it here: Creative Performer. After previously living and working in Tennessee, Arizona, Texas and overseas, I am so grateful to call beautiful Florida home!
